South Dakota--Our New Favorite State: Day 1

This state is so great it needs more than one post, plus we stayed 2 days. :) After our 15 hour Wyoming day, we got to South Dakota around midnight. The next morning we had breakfast with some of my parents' friends and got guidance on what to do, besides the obvious Mount Rushmore.
We came to Old Macdonald's Farm. No doubt a tourist attraction, it was still something we knew our kids would love. Here we have our 5 oldest, and above are our 2 youngest.
Our boys and their older sister really enjoyed this little tractor ride around the farm.
I thought this turkey was just so pretty with all his layers of feathers. The kids also got to hold chicks that were just days old. That was a great experience for them and solidified for them that they want to raise chickens.
This is just the sweetest picture of protective daddy feeding the ducks with his eager little one. I so wish I could get more pictures to a post!
